About Transvaginal Ultrasound

Transvaginal ultrasound is only performed with your consent. This approach allows a much better, high-resolution, detailed assessment. A sterile, narrow transducer is used. Please let us know if you are concerned about the procedure, and your sonographer will discuss this with you before starting your scan.
