Kate Wilson, founder and lead sonographer

Founder & Lead Sonographer

Kate Wilson

17 years of sonography experience, including 11 years dedicated to women's health imaging.

Kate founded Central West Women's Imaging to bring specialised women's ultrasound services to regional NSW. Raised on her family's farm in Canowindra, she worked across Australia and in London before returning to the Central West.

Her experience includes the Fetal Medicine Unit at St George's in London and a lead sonographer role at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She has also completed specialised deep endometriosis ultrasound training with OMNI.

Kate introduced pre-eclampsia screening as part of the Nuchal Translucency ultrasound to Orange and has helped upskill local sonographers. She presents at national conferences and maintains a strong interest in endometriosis, pelvic pain, ongoing education and research.

Dr Cecelia O'Brien, specialist doctor

Specialist Doctor

Dr Cecelia O'Brien

Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with over 10 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.

Cecelia is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with subspecialist training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine and a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound in O&G.

Her PhD explored fetal growth patterns in the setting of maternal obesity. Having grown up in a small country town in north-west NSW, she understands the barriers to accessing high-quality care in rural and regional communities.

She brings this understanding to her commitment to equitable care and specialist medical consultations.
